North Texas Giving Day: Theatre
North Texas Giving Day, one of the biggest fundraising dates of the year for North Texas nonprofits is happening this year on September 23, 2021. As the covid-19 pandemic continues to threaten what we consider normal life, performance companies have been hit especially hard. Dallas Art Beat is committed to supporting and advocating for the arts in North Texas, and in that spirit we're happy to share a few organizations that will put your donation dollars to good use.
Here is our list of Theatre companies that are participating in North Texas Giving Day.
Teatro Dallas is committed to the cultural empowerment of the Latinx community by representing our varied experiences, voices, and artistic expressions. Through high quality theatrical programming Teatro Dallas employs the power of theater to celebrate our diverse traditions while strengthening our community.

We put young artists in the lead as the creators and actors of bold art, provoking dialogue around challenging issues like gun control, gender roles, and immigration. They didn’t create these issues, but their generation will lead on them in the future. We need their new, unvarnished perspectives to shake up old, entrenched conversations.

The Core Theatre strives to create quality theatrical productions that entertain, educate, and elevate society by instilling hope and understanding. We use primarily original scripts written for this purpose.
